The Ingeborg Sofa is a beautiful and expressive 2.5-person lounge sofa originally designed in 1940 by Flemming Lassen. This charming and elegant sofa, named after Flemming Lassen’s mother, Ingeborg Winding, features characteristically curvy armrests, a buttoned back, and legs made from hardwood. The Ingeborg Sofa shares the same design expression as the recently launched lounge chair Ingeborg, forming a matching duo. The sofa’s elegant size and design make it beautiful from all angles, allowing you to place it anywhere in the room without taking up too much space. The elegant, curvy armrests add character to the design and give the impression of a warm embrace. Initially presented at the Cabinetmakers’ Guild Competition in 1940 at the Museum of Industrial Art in Copenhagen, the lounge sofa was originally designed for a new estate. Although it was occasionally spotted at different auctions, indicating a limited production, by Lassen is now pleased to reintroduce this beautiful and iconic design by Flemming Lassen.
